CAMPING PAGE
One of the best camping spots we have found is Hidden Springs State Redwood Park by Myers Flats on highway 101. The south fork of the Eel River saunders along next to the park and it makes great swimming. You do need swimmers booties because of all the biting river bugs in the sand. Otherwise, it is a wonderful way to spend the day at the riverside. Great for rafts, canoes or kayaks. Occassionally you may see deer. Most of the baby frogs and toads aren't born there anymore, but there can always be a revival. They are so much fun watch them hop along the shore. We have never seen any rattle snakes there, but it is wild country so you still have to be aware. To many trips there and to many stories to tell about all the wonderful days we have had there.
