Bill Hampton's Website

DIARY PAGE

Saturday, March 3, 2012. Well, I deleted all the political stuff from this website today.  Decided to make it a personal, fun and enjoyable website instead of a political monster.  Got the website for www.fairfieldbocce.org better lined up. Now I better get my shower and get to bed. It's off to work tomorrow at 10:00AM. Hope everyone enjoys this website.

Sunday, March 4, 2012. Well, I moved my political stuff from the home page that I thought I had already moved to another website. Worked from 10:00AM to 2:00PM. After work, I worked for four hours or so working my Actron Scanner/Tool repair program, www.repairpath.com. It's not close to the repair content I thought it would be. Did glean some leads to whatever is wrong with Jackie's Chevrolet Impala. Looks like a transmission module and a coolant sensor need replacement for two codes. Hoping those two will clear up the third and last oil pressure code. If not, it's a transmission problem that could be very expensive. Stayed tuned in to the tv channel 'History' and watched the 10 most incredible discoveries that focused on Egypt's' early civilization. What incredible building structures they had. The valley that had thousands of mummies from a Roman invasion was surprising. All ten topics were amazing. Mankind has had a long, serious intelligence. I'm not buying the granite blocks being formed by fire with the close tolerances being shown on tv.

Monday, March 5, 2012. Worked from 9:00Am to 5:30PM, but didn't get out of there until 6:10PM. Got busy in last half hour, missed putting a rent payment check into the computer, then missed putting a roll of tape purchase into the computer. Was over $.05 and it seems I didn't give one of two tenants $.05 change from their $39.95 payment. Really messed up my end of day stuff. Next Sunday I will be 71 years old. So much to do and not enough time to do it. We have two tomato plants, but I still need to put my sawdust and a layer of our stove ashes in the tomato patch. Right now I am on Dreamweaver and BillHampton.com correcting some link errors. Will plug along on this to make it fun.

Tuesday, March 6, 2012.  Woke up at 1:05AM and could not get back to sleep so I got up for some milk and crackers. Got to working on photos for www.FairFieldbocce.org while eating the milk crackers a was up until 5:00AM. Got up at 8:30AM to get ready for work at 10:00AM.  Good day at work.  Mowed the lawns and did a quick pickup of trash around the drive areas.  Manager had to go to a doctors appointment, so I got two hours at the desk. Put little more stuff in my storage shed (at work).  Will put in a few hours there getting ready for my yard sale organization on these days off (Wed, Thurs, Friday).  Got to check and see when the Vacaville Creekwalk concerts start up for Friday nights.  Finished the Fairfield Bocce club website photos.  Added a photo page to www.BillHampton.com with a photo page for Claudia, Joyce, Jackie and Jack.  Also added photo pages for a scenic page and will have a background photo page soon.  Really need to learn how to make a photo album now.  With a couple hundred photos online, I've found out it's a long job doing photos individually.  Found some leads on tuning up Jackie's Impala.  It will probably cost about $70 to replace a coupe sensors and $130 to reprogram the powertrain control module (PCM).  Should be good to go then.  Goodnight all.

Saturday, March 10, 2012. Worked from 9:00AM to 5:30PM. Had my birthday dinner and cake with the kids today. It was a very nice evening. This coming Wednesday Leigh Parker, sister-in-law and I will have a combined birthday dinner. Got the Visitor Counter on www.fairfieldbocce.org. Didn't work out putting it on every page though. Each page visit put another visit on the main counter.

Sunday, March 11, 2012. Turned 17 years old today. Jackie brought hamburgers to my work office and we had lunch together. After I got off of work at 2:00PM, we went to the movies and saw "Act of Valor". That is one solid movie. We will buy it when it comes out on DVD. Took the Visitor Counter off all the www.fairfieldbocce.org website except the "Home" page. Up until 12:30AM. These late nights are killing me.

Monday, March 12, 2012. Slow day at work. Rented two units and reset the door of one RV unit four times. Manager was not at work so I couldn't work on correcting the problem, just resetting it had to do. A brainwash went on when I rented the RV unit and the military discount was not installed, but got it all cleared up. Met Jeff, the landscaper today. Seems okay. Tried to make him feel welcome. He will do okay. Ordered my bee hive this morning. Going to catch hell on this one, but I want my bee hive. Giving up my poker money. The hive will cost me $65 and three pounds of bees with a queen will cost $97. Got enough poker money to cover it. Now to find a place to put it. Lot's of area and I'll be okay. Will order the bees later today. Made my plan today. I am going to run for Suisun City City Council in November. Will file my papers later today. This is what I want to do. I am going to make a difference for Americans. Goodnight everybody.

Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Worked 9:00AM to 5:30PM today. It rained all day. Only did inside unit cleaning. Not much going after work at home. Made a fire in the Lopi fireplace insert. Really a good stove. Jackie bought a couple Early Girl tomatoes today. We need to keep them alive a few days. Will plant them after the danger of freezing has past from this cold front moving in. Still dinking around with getting the photo album installed in this website.

Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Worked 10:00AM to 2:00PM today. It rained all day. Manager spared me and we did work stuff in the office. Didn't do much at home after work. Jackie hosted birthday dinner for Leigh (67th) and I (71st). It was a great dinner of pot roast and all the veggies. We had homemade cake from Joyce.  I kept Jackie's wine bottle so I could fill it with lemonade for my evening drink. Loved it so I kept the bottle for more lemonade.

Thursday, March 15, 2012. Raining today, not able to do outside chores on day off at home. Got the bill box, two stacks of loose documents and four huge folders of loose documents. Started filing past months bills, ran out of room quick and started cutting bill box folders to only 2011 past bill documents. Left the living room a shambles with bill box, bill folders, miscellaneous stacks of documents; as well as miscellaneous file folders in several circle rows to resume work on Friday. Had my wine bottle of lemonade. It seems naughty.

Friday, March 16, 2012. Still raining, so I continued with my document sorting. Got lot's of 2010 archive documents for the shed. Took some time out to try repairing the hall bathroom toilet. Darn thing let's water leak into the toilet bowl and the tank starts filling up in a 24 hour cycle. Lot's of wasted water. Purchased tank stopper didn't stop the leak and I tried trimming it three ways. .No luck still. If we have to spend money on new tank innards, we will buy a new toilet with a 17 inch tall bowl that we have been looking at. Had my fifth of lemonade.

Saturday, March 17, 2012. Finally got my mess of hundreds of documents sorted out and into folders and bill box. We have a nice, clean living room floor again. Took some time to try and get our computer to boot up. All the support disks we have and nothing is working. Will have to take it to "The Computer Guy" in Vacaville to see if he can rescue me. Joyce had St. Patrick's Day dinner for Jack and Leigh and Jackie and I. Very nice corned beef round cut and cabbage, with potatoes and carrots to boot. Jackie made rye bread (very good) and bought a sheepherders loaf of Irish Soda Bread at Lucky's (good) Desert was Joyce's delicious pineapple sponge cake. We found that Joyce's refrigerator ice water line was leaking where the house copper tube and refrigerator plastic line are joined with a shutoff valve. It soaked through the wall and got a 157quot strip of carpet wet in her bedroom. Had my fifth of lemonade.

Sunday, March 18, 2012. Worked 10:00AM to 2:00PM today. Nice weather. Put my archive documents in shed along with a box of computer disks. Almost got the shed full. Got to spend a few hours there to get myself organized for household storage and storeroom for working the ebay/craigs list sales. Got parts to fix Joyce's refrigerator ice water line. Started work on it and got a snag. Think I got the wrong valve. Mating the copper line with the plastic line seems to take a specific connection with each type line on both sides. Had to terminate the job and we had Joyce's very good split pea soup. Will research the water line and finish the job on day off on Wednesday. Got home to watch 8:00PM TV. It's 9:50PM and I have half a soda left. Don't know if I'll do my fifth of lemonade tonight.

Monday, March 19, 2012.  Easy day at work today.  Wasn't able to fix a jamming roll up door thought.  Rented at least one unit & showed two more.  Reservations coming in. Jackie had a very nice tasting dinner for us.  Found out we are out of coffee when I went to make coffee.  Transferred a lot of photos to www.billhampton.com.  Will have to sort them out as it is a tedious job and photos wind up in the wrong places at times.  It is 12:30AM and I have to get to bed.  Absolutely, positively, must happen that I get to bed before 10:00PM tomorrow.  Had my fifth of lemonade tonight, but missed my vitamins this morning.  Will talk later about my blood pressure recordings.

Tuesday, March 20, 2012. 9 to 5 work day. Was scared that ATT had turned off their servers as we could not get to our billsducks@sbcglobal.net email.  Finally got it going.  Nothing else cooking for www.Bi Bill Hampton.com  Cannot get the photo album working yet, although I did get a lot of photos stored in the website folders.  Now to put them in the correct site links. Will do a few now and then get to bed. Had a great revelation, I need lots more sleep than I have been getting.  Still don't have a visitor counter.  Slow time at the computer, but I will keep plugging away until I get it. Costed out rebuilding our retainer wall in the back yard.  It will be around $200.00 with tax.  Not bad for a 54 foot retainer wall.  Only 14 inches tall, but all that wood adds up.

Wednesday, March 21, 2012.  10 to 2 work day.  Went to Costco today and got toilet paper for work office.  Got some tomato plants, but will take them back tomorrow as I found out (on the way out) that they have a variety pack and I only got Beef Steak.  Have to plant in the next few days.  The "Tomato Kid" has to go big again this year.  Must not forget to call bocce folks and get documents from them to post on www.airfieldbocce.org   Got a part I need to finish fixing Joyce's refrigerator ice water line in the morning. Will start working on Cathy's Saturn tomorrow in the afternoon.  Got to get that car running and get my van back.

Thursday, March 22, 2012. Delivered the toilet paper purchase to work site this morning. Got the valve cover off and bolts off the timing chain cover of Cathy's Saturn this afternoon. Got Joyce's refrigerator ice water line fixed later this afternoon. Jackie and I signed up for the Sam's Club Plus upgrade from our business membership card. $25 paid for the rest of our membership year. From there the membership annual fee is $100. Hmmmm, not sure the $65 boost in membership fee will be worth it. Got all our old emails with photos saved to the hard drive tonight. Just did find out there is a email folder that holds all our in and out photos or document attachments. Cannot find out how to delete them. Sure don't need that space taken up. goodnight all. Got to get to bed and start our new get-to-bed-and-go-to-sleep program.

Friday, March 23, 2012. Got busy taking the timing chain off of Cathy's car to redo the timing. The car runs, but so awful something had to be done to straighten it out. Car probably would burn up in a 10 mile drive. I broke the timing chain cover and will have to get one from the junk yard. At the junk yard I found a couple Saturn's that looked good, but I didn't have the correct socket to take out the crankshaft pulley bolt. Took up to much time taking other bolts out before I got to the crank shaft bolt. Went home and did a little other stuff with car. Found one spark plug that was cracked. Found the timing chain looked one link off. I adjusted the timing chain per the Haynes repair book. Chain looked loose, but the alignment links are dead on now. Went to Sam's club and had pizza and four berry ice cream cups for dessert. Nice. Jackie rearranged the computer room. She put booth the bookcases together and cleaned up a bunch of stuff. Need to find a small table, like a night stand to put between the bookcase and desk for the black and white printer. Would be great to get the color printer and desktop computer off the desk also. Tried to do a web photo album, but got it all wrong. Not even going to try to fix it tonight. Good night all.

Saturday, March 24, 2012. Got up early to get to the junk yard and get the timing chain cover for the Saturn. Predicted to rain today. Got to the junk yard and got disappointed in the crank shaft bolt again. The socket I used to remove Cathy's car bolt would not fit on the junk yard ones. Thought I would have to buy a new one. Stopped at the house to search my tool box for a socket and found one. Went back to junk yard and removed the crank shaft bolt and all other bolts (and removing other parts to get to the bolts). Started raining and I hurried up. Got to the the last four bolts at the oil pan and found out I left the 8mm wrench at home. On the way out I bought two tires for Mom Parkers station wagon. $57 for two tires that had very good thread. Came back and got the timing chain cover for $17.00 I was very wet and cold. Jackie met me at the gate and ushered me to a hot shower that really felt good. We tinkered around and then had dinner a bit after 5:00PM and watched most of a series that started in 2011 about teenage acrobats and their families. Nice series. We will look for it in 2012. I got onto the computer very late so I will not try to study my web photo album. It is 11:00PM and I am going to bed. Trying to get in bed and asleep earlier to get up earlier. Computer work late at night is messed up as I make to many mistakes. I want to do the computer work before I go to work in the morning for I am alert and able to learn better. I do need a few minutes to research a Terry Dean and Monique Harris to learn more about publishing on the internet. Good night all.

Sunday, March 25, 2012.  Worked about three and a half hours straightening out my storage unit and seeing what I had there.  I really need to get this sales thing going, we need the extra funds. I put a few comments in sections of www.citizencomplaint.com.  I really had to push myself to quit having fun talking about government and go to bed at 10:30PM.  Had a pretty good night, sleep wise.  My breathing machine woke me up three times, but I am learning to push the "slow down" button for it to reduce the air flow force.

Monday, March 26, 2012. 9 to 5 workday today. A RV storage unit that had a renter who stored grocery store goods vacated without notice and left a real mess to cleanup. Scraped food stuff off the floor, mopped it and scraped it some more so the second mop job would leave a clean floor. Got home and my bee hive had arrived. problem is the hive top and bottom were not included in the box. Irritating.  Now I have to bother with a mess of details to get that squared away.  Worked on trying to learn how to do web photo albums while watching Dancing With The Stars.  Not getting it yet. Got to go to bed and get up early to study website stuff.  Starting to dream of running for city council this november.  Got to do more work on www.fairfieldbocce.org also. Sweet dreams everyone.

Tuesday, March 27, 2012. We went to Vallejo Kaiser for Jackies acupuncture treatment today.  Jackie and I both slept in until 11:00AM and it felt good. We piddled with brunch.  Started the Vallejo trip early so we could stop at Tuesday Morning and pick up a gardening knee pad/bench, but they don't get stocked until the sale starts April 3rd.  We managed to find other treasures to buy though.  Joyce called Jackie while were at Tuesday Morning and they figured out it was 1:15PM and the appointment was a 1:30PM twenty miles away.  We booked it and Jackie made it to her appointment before they cancelled us.  We had a very nice dinner at IHOP with great breakfast meals.

Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Slept in until 11:00AM today.  Both of us needed the sleep.  We went to Texas Road House with Jack & Leigh and Joyce for dinner tonight. Got there at 5:00PM and the timing was just right. The crowd started lining up as we were seated and looking at our menu's. Jackie had a half rib and baked potato & salad and I had pulled pork with fresh vegetables and salad. I loved the pulled pork, but Jackie thought her ribs were to sweet. Jack had a great rib eye steak and Leigh had catfish. Joyce had a whole rib, but she thought it was to sweet also. We all took food home.  Jackie and I had dinner the next night with our leftovers.  Two nights of dinner for $25.00 was a good deal.  We had the 4:00PM to 6:00PM dinner specials for $8.99 (no drinks, just water).  I started eating peanuts when I walked in the door and kept going until served dinner.  Got my bee hive nesting box from ebay today.  It wasn't the full bee hive I thought it was going to be. Checked ebay and I got what I ordered, even though I think I was misled. There was no bottom (floor) or top (roof) to the hive box.  I am going to build those and get a bee swarm in April.  Tired of not following through with something I have really wanted to do.  Don't now where I will put it yet, but there are lots of open spaces around here.

Thursday, March 29, 2012. Started putting my old sawdust in the tomato patch, along with a thin layer of ashes from the fireplace. Want to build up the mineral and acid in the soil.   Took the bee hive to the shed along with other stuff to get it out of the garage. A charity picked up our Samsung projection tv, coffee table and other stuff today. Lucky we caught them. Jackie had thought they picked up on the 28th, but reread the postcard and saw it was today. Checked the streets and saw their truck and went over and talk to the driver and got him to come to our house to get the stuff. Saved us a lot of trouble clearing room in the garage until the next pickup.

Friday, March 30, 2012. Finished putting the sawdust and ash on the tomato patch. I dug shallow trenches to put the stuff in and covered it with dirt so the cats and dog would not get dirty and bring it into the house. And it decomposes faster underground. Mowed and edged the front lawn today. The first mowing since Christmas. The winter cold had held the grass at bay, but the warmer weather has started everything to start sprouting now. We have eight tomato plants here ready to plant tomorrow. Will save room for two Juliana grape tomatoes and we will just sit back and watch them grow. Helped Jack move his bed frames, mattresses and entertainment center into his garage to make way for the remodeling contractor coming next week. The appraiser is coming next Tuesday for the remodel loan. Jack said his home mortgage will only go up $25.00 a month for the whole remodel job. What a great bargain. Sounds like Jack and Leigh will work for one more year a least and then live in the house. Probably. They could wind up moving out of state, but all their current medical connections are right here and that is real important now.

Wednesday,April 25, 2012:  Don't know where the time went. Nearly a month since my last entry.  Not a great day.  Yesterday Jackie and I went shopping for a new toilet.  I had been trying to replace the drain pipe assembly in one of our toilets and tightened the tank & bowl bolts to tight, cracking the tank porcelain body. Bummer.  Found a nice toilet with a 16 1/2 inch high bowl. Nice for us older folks.  We also bought new vinyl floor tile.  Got the stuff home today and started the job, finding the floor toilet flange had rusted out. Spent hours searching the internet for solutions and finally found a "Toilet Flange Repair Ring" at home depot.  I'll go get it tomorrow.  I need to finish that bathroom. The plan is that I put up new blinds in a spare bedroom on Friday.  Pretty sure I will run for city council in Suisun City this year.  Filing opens in July.  I could use the extra cash and I feel like being a Steward again.  So, I will write out a list of possible political action committee folks & try to drum up lots of cash.  Will need to start now as I need to pay cash up front for all advertising. Bedtime.  Good night all.

Wednesday, May 2, 2012:  Thought about trying to put all the days between entries by memory, but that never works out.  This morning I will scrub the bathtub with Goo Gone to remove last of past caulking and Goo Gone the linoleum square tiles of line filler.  Then on goes the caulking stip at the linoleum/bathtub border.  Then I need to buy a carpet holder for the door edge of the linoleum.  Then the bathroom floor and new toilet job will be finished.  Claudia called last night and said her and Chris would be here today.  Jackie got up and now we are going to have breakfast. So long for now.

Friday, July 12, 2019:  It has been awhile sense I visited here.  Forgot I had a diary going.  Daughter Cindy is coming over in a bit to cook dinner for us.  It will be a suprise menu.  Great grandson Aiden crawled on all fours for at least 8 feet to come to me this morning. For the first time he wanted to get down from me holding him because he wanted to play with a toy he spotted.  I made four loaves of Amish cake this morning.  Haven't tasted it yet, but I am glad to have it.  My suppy was down to five Amish cupcakes.  I did the weeks bocce score standings for the bulletin boards while the Amish was baking.  Checked my websites emails and got shocked.  Way over 12,000 emails in all the sites.  I deleted 99% of them.  My time is up.  Have to shave for company. Good day, World.
